update

meet Nona

so the surprise got postponed a bit

but here she is! the newest member of the family

I've only been able to take pictures of her while we're cuddling

so I stole a few from the Fox College Vet Tech Institute Adoptions Page that's been taking care of her

we were hoping to take her home last wednesday but the school needed her for classes - hence the postponing

so they let us take her home for a trial visit this weekend

and she nailed it 

most well behaved dog we've ever been around

we're super excited :D

her name is Nona. she's a 5 or 6 year old german shepherd-rottweiler mix.

while we've been snuggling I found these lovely things

so Austin and I may or may not have spent a couple hours making a giant string of construction paper rings to mark the days until I graduate next August....

we made something like 320 rings

we hung them from the kitchen all the way around to the other side of our living room

it was Austin's idea, he thought it would cheer me up when I get down about how much school I have left

adorable, right?

tomorrow Austin's playing in a benefit show for orphans with some friends

it should be a good start to my weekend
I plan to spend the rest of the weekend soaking up this last bit of sun

also, maybe carve a pumpkin or work on Austin's halloween costume

a few weeks ago, I downloaded my very own polariod camera app

just like everyone else in the world

it's been fun :)

I had a lovely day

conquered lots of homework and took an amazing afternoon nap

thank goodness for chilly days off

there's nothing I love better than sitting around all day when its chilly outside

may sound boring but I can never get enough

here's what Austin and I have been up to lately (mostly Austin and a few wonderful friends)

Austin's screen printing business - Quiet Lady - is just about up and running!

and about time too

his phone has been ringing like crazy

let the madness of running our own business begin

and if you need any shirts, bags, etc. screen printed let me know :) hehe

I've mostly been working at my new fancy job

and studying for my insurance licensing exam - which I passed last week :D

now I'm back in school and trying to get used to having homework

strangely, its actually been kind of nice

I also made lots of magnets this summer

just listed this set earlier this evening on my etsy

they are my favorites!

well, happy labor day :)

its been awhile

uhm wow....

oops

well, soon I should be posting as normal again.

we haven't had internet at home for a few months

because around here its actually cheaper to buy coffee and camp out at starbucks every day

than pay for legit internet. silly.

but good news - next weds we will be back online :)

because I'm going back to school next week :( and its had to check assignments and things without it

anyway, this summer has been a whirlwind.

1. I discovered I have chronic bitchface. like bad.

2. apparently I have a twin.

my friend Nancy and I look alike and wear almost the exact same outfit everytime we see each other.
